Do teachers ever fall in love with students or like them in 'that way'?

I don't know how it's possible though cause teachers are so mature and how they can fall in love wit a 15 yr old or whatever sounds strange.. i have heard stories where in an all-girls school, a young male teacher and a student fell in love and they married. the stories are second hand though, i never saw it occur in front of my eyes...
  • Teachers are humans too. But they have to be careful because they are supposed to be respected by the students.
  • YES, it does happen. And YES, it does sound strange. There seems to be a lot of it on the news and the internet lately. They are generations apart and should not be attracted to one another. I feel that the young students would be especially " repulsed " from interacting " that way " with the older adults. But it does happen.
  • I would say maybe the teacher could have problems in their relationship and feels they need someone to turn to. If a student comes up to them a lot or is staying after school for tutoring the teacher may try to start a relationship with them. Maturity has nothing to do with it. Teachers become imature and that is how it can happen.
